hi andrew and Everyone The iRiver h320 is about the size of a cassette. It can be connected to the PC with a USB cable. It says it is compatible with Windows 98, but not with my machine. Better people than me have tried! I have got round this by copying tracks to a compact flash card and connecting the iRiver to my Windows XP machine at work. I use Windows Explorer as the player shows up as a hard drive. The controls are relatively easy to use, except that some of them perform a number of functions. I believe it can be tamed, but a certain amount of assistance is necessary to get going. It has a radio and can record, but I have not used these functions much yet. The FM radio is not very good. I have downloaded a PDF version of the manual from the iRiver site, but it is not over helpful as when it tells you wich button to press it displays a graphic which is lost in translation. I only asked for comments offlist because I thought people might not want to read such specialist information.
