Courtesy of Apple PR I now have a 6 plus to play with. Here are my very
initial impressions of the handset and also some thoughts on IOS8.

First the phone is much bigger than I expected having moved from a 5. It is
also considerably heavier. Its rather more curved sides are more reminiscent
of the 3 and 3S than subsequent models. But because the whole thing is bigger,
the sound from the onboard speaker is louder and deeper too.

Next, I've stuck with Daniel and he sounds slightly crisper but also his
synthesised nature is somewhat more evident in this incarnation.

The screen seems to me very bright and the graphics clearer. Font size and
clarity in apps such as Next buses seems to me to be easier to deal with. It's
bigger on the bigger screen and possibly more dense.

The power and screen lock button has migrated to the side again.

I like the thumb print unlock but haven't yet tried using it in other contexts.

Haven't yet found the Braille input keyboard which I understood was now a
native feature. any hints please and is it a toggle?

The only slight quirk I've discovered with IOS8 so far is a tendency not to
follow the finger in the text of Kindle books consistently. I will report this
to the access team. It tends to get a couple of lines ahead of where your
finger is, particularly lower down the page.
