Hi Steve
I have tried double-tap and hold on a Google doorbell notification and managed
to open it where it doesn't with a normal double-tap. I'm sure Apple
Accessibility will know about it by now.
Kind regards,
Jackie Brown

Seems it's only when VoiceOver is turned on though. My sighted support worker
is having no trouble with notifications. I think sometimes when they bring out
new features, accessibility is a bit of an afterthought. And I'm not just
talking about Apple, but I think VO is getting a little behind some of the
capabilities of the operating system.
All the best
Steve

Hi Steve
Not for me, I have changed it to list and still can't open them unless I
double-tap and hold. Of course the other way I get round this annoying problem
is to open my phone, go to Messages, and get at the text that way, but you
shouldn't have to.
Kind regards,
Jackie Brown

That's another known bug in iOS 16, the notifications one I mean.
I think it's only with VO turned on though. If you quad tap the notification it
should open. I have also heard that if you change notifications to list view,
then the bug disappears.
All the best
Steve

am pleased to say I haven't had that, but I am having a rather annoying issue
where notifications won't open/activate since upgrading.

I haven’t had to restart my iPhone yet which is where the bug can
appear. I had the public beta installed on my iPad and never had such a
problem and it is quite a big one if it happens to affect you.

for anybody upgrading their iPhone please be aware that if you
