Hi Joe, this probably won't suit your needs as you seem to be purely interested in an iPhone/app, but the tracker on the At the Races website will send you an email to alert you of upcoming runners. If you pick up your mail via the phone this might be a solution?

Hi   folks,

I am interested in horse racing, just wondering if there is another member
interested in this sport.  And have they come across the app called horse
tracker. And is there an accessible app for iphone 5 and using voice over.
Because sighted people use this app called horse tracker.  How it works is
when a horse runs you can put it in your app and it will notify you when
that horse runs again and it will tell you the meeting and the time of the
race. I have looked in the app store but i have not found one that is
accessible with iphone 5 and voice over. because I have missed a few horses
that have ran  I was interested in . the app saves you some time looking
through  all the cards on different days.
