Hi Steve, thanks for geting back. The other thing about the PC is that it
does not have  a sound blaster soundcard, so will that give me any problems.
There is a soundcard but I can't remember what it is.

I'm thinking of starting up with the freedombox on my girlfriends machine,
as my machine is running win98 with a copy of jfw 3.5. It just makes sense
to keep things apart.
