[access-uk] Re: Gmail server issue with U2 Mini

Well I seem to be sorted now.  There was just the part of finding the Gmail
account once it had changed to IMAP that I couldn't work out.  It is
definitely slower, as John says, but at least I can get my Emails and
respond to them when I am away from my computer.  Yes, I know I could use my
phone, but frankly responding to Emails is time-consuming, and if I have to
take a physical keyboard to speed up the process, I may as well stick with
my Braille device to do it.

Kind Regards,

Jackie Brown

Hi Jackie,
Qhanks, just thought something like changing server ports would do it, but
POP is limited, compared to SMTP settings.

Hello Rajmund

It is an issue Hims are now being alerted to, others have reported the
same thing.  So don't adjust settings anyone using Gmail on a Sense
product, it isn't you!!

Hi Jackie,
It appears as if GGmail's dead. No server bequested, yet, you can send.

Hi John

I noticed recently that you posted you were unable to receive Email
using Gmail on your U2 Mini, and that you received some sort of
server error.  I tried mine last night, and got the same.  I have
written to ask Will if he can ask Hims because it can't be a
coincidence, and I certainly haven't touched my settings.

Has anyone else using Gmail on their U2 product come up against this
in recent days?  It only seems to affect Gmail accounts, my BT
account works normally.

Very odd!
