Ah! Well done John, I see it now. When I was in the area where you read
messages if you have any, I would bring up Messages, then enter. Then I
would arrow up twice to Check For New Mail. My accounts list would appear
to choose from, but there is no Gmail there if it is IMAP. So your way
works, and has solved a long term confusion I have had.
Thanks so much.
Kind Regards,
Jackie Brown

Manager.
Hi John
This is where I am completely baffled. I have modified my settings to
IMAP instead of POP doing, as you say, a modification in the Accounts
But when I go up to Messages, then Check For New Mail, I no longer seethan pop 3 but loads better.
my Gmail account there, only the POP accounts. So where is my Gmail
account, and how do I get to the box to open it? This is the
difficulty I have always had. I know how to set it up, but I don't
know where it hides so I can get to the inbox to retrieve my mail!!
I am happy to take this off list with you if others don't want to read
this tripe!! (smile.)
Kind Regards,
Jackie Brown

hi jackie from the sense go in to the email and to the accounts
manager find your gmail and go to modify then you must put in the imap
settings which i have hear. so if stuck doing that i may have to ring
you or contact you on skype later just doing this tuning in a min so
just let me know it works a treat much better because if you delete
emails it takes it off the server so you do not have to go in to the g
mail on the pc and get rid of them just let me know. when you go to
modify and set it as imap i think it puts things in correct like the
port numbers and everything then to do the email in imap on the sense
go to the email tab over to where it says pop 3 2 of 2 press sape dot
one for gmail tab over and it will open the mail boxes it's a bit slower
send.

Hi John
I noticed recently that you posted you were unable to receive
Email using Gmail on your U2 Mini, and that you received some
sort of server error. I tried mine last night, and got the
same. I have written to ask Will if he can ask Hims because it
can't be a coincidence, and I certainly haven't touched my settings.
Has anyone else using Gmail on their U2 product come up against
this in recent days? It only seems to affect Gmail accounts, my
BT account works normally.
Very odd!
Kind Regards,
Jackie Brown
