Hi.

Unfortunately, it in short looks like TVonics has gone bust. Here is the company profile for Bell Advisory.

Bell Advisory LLP is a new insolvency and advisory partnership formed by 2 partners with a combined experience of over 40 years.

Specialising in corporate matters, ranging from advisory work to matters requiring formal insolvency procedures.

In addition we have expertise in solvent restructuring processes.

If TVonics has declared insolvancy and their product lines are not going to be supported by another larger company, it is a real shame. Typical. we have a decent product then it gets removed from the market! arg! If only goodmans would improve their offering to the RNIB. A faster CPU, program recording functions, less lagginess with the speech, better speech voices, HD support. Goodmans are in a better position to either continue the product line from TVonics or improve the box they built. These boxes are still retailing on Ebay, if anyone would like assistance in obtaining one i'd suggest contacting the RNIB, or pick them up cheaper on ebay though you'd have to set it up your self. If anyone is interested in obtaining one set up, get in touch off list and i'll be glad to help.

Hi,
As many of you will be aware the RNIB proudly announced its collaboration with Tvonics to provide us with talking freeview recorders. However, I spoke to someone associated with the company today and learned that the company has gone into administration. Obviously this means stock levels are falling fast and stand a good chance of never being replenished. Therefore anyone interested in purchasing one of these Freeview recorders would be well advised to contact the RNIB soon. From what I could understand, though I could be mistaken, the stock held by Tvonics itself is already spoken for unless that order falls through.
This is a great shame and I hope the information is useful.
Thanks,
Justin
