Hi Simon thanks so much for this, and it might well have done a fix
for OE; I followed all your directions. Unfortunately, the problem of
the target for
the short cut remains unresolved. Here's what I have under properties
for Outlook Express.

TARGET TYPE: My Computer.
TARGET LOCATION: Desk Top.
TARGET: My Computer.
START IN: %homedrive%%homepath%
SHORT CUT KEY: Non.
RUN: Normal Window.

The above is then followed by 3 buttons for: Find Target Type; Change
Icon; and Advanced.

I think I am right in believing that the target should be the
smimn.exe file, as I have seen this before in the properties for OE.
The target box that use to appear as an edit box, seems to have
change under properties for OE, and is no longer accessible with JFW,
so I am unable to enter it and type in the path to the smimn.exe file.

If I click the FIND TARGET button, then it brings up the desk top,
which is not really surprising, as the short cut is now pointing to
the desk top. So, I need to know how to change where the short cut is
pointing to, needing to point it back at the smimn.exe file.

Hope this is clear. Can you hellp any further, or anybody else
reading this please?

Many thanks
