So is the computer your run, the browser you search the web with, the
client you read your email with, an Adobe PDF or indeed any Office
document.
Even a standard jpg picture file can contain a virus if you haven't
kept the operating system up to date.
As long as you're up to date, and you should be, Flash is no greater a
threat than any other aspect of a network connected computer.
What you're left with then is the choice of functionality vs low risk.
If you want to be truly safe, leave that power button on the pc firmly off!
