Hi Barbara,

I considered this question a little while back and, as I already had downloaded Jaws to my desktop hard drive, I went for the pen and it was great. (I copied Jaws on to the hard drive of the laptop though before installing ...)

James

Just wondering with no CD drive what users find is the best way to install JAWS? From a memory pen or with sighted help download from the Internet?

Barbara

Get listed, network or find a business at an online directory of businesses owned and run by disabled people and associated support and advisory organisations:

Hi all.
I've just got home, and am happy to announce that I was able to follow the XP setup assistant, using only Narator as my screen reader. Once that was completed, McAfee gave me some issues, but I got rid of it, again with the aid of Narator, and the netbook is now installing JAWS as we speak! I will get back to you all later on when I've played around with it, but one thing I will say is that if it is good at performing like this, with 1 GB of RAM, I can't wait to see what its like when I install 2 GB of RAM tomorrow.
