Mark, sounds like you need to get into complex disk management areas.
Try:
Control panel,
administrative tools.
Computer management.
Removable storage.
I can't give you specific info, but this might be a good start. Its complex
and not easy to maneuvere, but I did locate all my removable drives in here
and I'm sure I could have reassigned their drive letters if I had proceeded.
