Then I give way to your superior knowledge on the matter Steve.

I explained that in an earlier post.
The books come down in two separate folders, one per CD.
Dolphin tries to import them as separate books.
What would be easier, would be for RNIB to make them all one complete book.
All the best

Hi Steve
My husband has downloaded several longer books from the RNIB Reading Services
page without issue. Yet people are struggling to do likewise with Dolphin
EasyReader, so how is it RNIB and not Dolphin if it doesn’t work correctly on
that app? I’m just curious that’s all, I don’t use EasyReader but know the
problem has been around for months as Iain says.
Kind regards,
Jackie Brown

No, it is not Dolphin, I believe it’s RNIB, and it’s easy to fix.

I don’t have this issue as I don’t use the EasyReader method, but it is
probably as much to do with Dolphin given it is their app? It does seem to
have dragged on for a long time though.

Is the long book problem not within the power of the RNIB to fix? Surely all
they need to do is rebuild the books. Given that Easy Reader is the most
straightforward way of accessing books and the method which RNIB are pushing
hard, it seems to me not acceptable that a significant number of books cannot
be properly accessed. Which was an issue which was pointed up in testing last
year so it has been a known issue for a considerable time.

Hi Jackie,
I would agree with you, the service is fab.
I only wish they could fix multi-disk books with EasyReader, I am one who likes
to listen to everything on one device, my phone, so I use EasyReader.
All the best

Hi Mandy
It’s up to you if you choose to download books with EasyReader, I don’t
personally. I download all my books which then go into the Downloads folder on
my PC. I then unzip them, and copy onto the card for the VRS. I must admit I
love the service, with the slow-down in receiving Talking Books on CD through
the post, the Reading Services website is just fab! I appreciate it has a
couple of quirks yet, but I’m very grateful to have it.
Kind regards,
Jackie Brown

I have no problem using RNIB Reading Service, however, I like having talking
books on my Victor Stream so how do I accomplish downloading books onto the PC
so I can then copy them onto my Victor Reader card?
Do I still use EasyReader?
Mandy.
