Hi,

This is simpler than you may think, although it doesn't convert to AVI.

Copy the contents of a DVD to your hard drive.

Now rename all the .VOB files on the DVD to .MPG.

Done. Converted. Play them in Media Player or Winamp, or whatever you
want.

All the best

Steve

Subject: [access-uk] Digitalising DVD collection

Hi all,
Between myself and my sons, we have quite a few DVD/VCD collection. I just
wanted to find-out if there are any hardware base converters that I can
convert the DVD/VCS into AVI or similar format to keep on a hard drive?

Thank you.
