Hi Mark, that's what I thought. I had always taking it that ccAp was a norton
file. Now I hope others on the list who don't have Norton also have ccAp.

Hi again Peter.

ccapp.exe is a process belonging to Norton AntiVirus 2003. It is responsible
for the auto-protect and email checking facilities, both of which will not
function correctly if this service is stopped. This program is important for
the stable and secure running of your computer and should not be terminated.

>From that, I gather this only applies only if the above product is
installed, but could be wrong.

Cheers,

Mark

Hi guys. Thanks for the info on ctfmon dot exe. I have another similar
question though. I have disabled ccAp on startup because I believe this is
part of Norton which I no longer have installed. However, a friend says ccAp
is a windows file? True or false.

Peter
