If I did not have a Forman-type grill, then I would probably use the
microwave grill a lot more. You do need to be very careful though as the
grill is at the top and is exposed, like grilles on the top of ovens would
be. Oven gloves are essential in my view.

Hi David.

I've used my machine to grill all sorts of things, but as you say, you have
to remove the food your grilling from the machine. I've grilled bacon,
tomatoes, peppers and other things not to mention using my grill for giving
things a nice brown topping as you pointed out.

All the best, Ibrahim.

When turning food over when grilling, you have to take out the tray and
turn the food. There is not really enough room inside to turn food without
removing it first.

Having said that, the main use of the grill in this instance is probably
to brown the topping after the food has been microwaved. I would not
normally use this grill if I just wanted to grill but I would if I was
microwaving a pizza and grilling after to get a crisp topping.

  Hope that makes sense.

  Hi Carol.

OK, I'll answer both of your questions in this message. Firstly, the
grill element on this unit is mounted in the top of the cavity and stupidly
in my view is fully exposed. When your using the grill, you use the
stacking tray they give you but you must be extremely careful as touching
the grill element could give you a severe burn. As for the size, its pretty
similar to the microwave to be honest, I'm not entirely sure of exact
measurements.

  All the best, Ibrahim.

How do you find the grill? Is it still as difficult to turn food over
as with other grills as, essentially, the grill part gets very hot?
