I agree, it can be used with thunderbird I can't remember how I got it to work. but I at first could only see the body of each message but not read it. I meant subject and not body sorry. but when opening each mail it could not read it but I did get it working doing something with caps lock I think. but no it's no screen reader Nvda would be your best bet.
