[access-uk] Re: Calls to most UK numbers (including mobiles) are now free using Google Home. Yes, free as in cost-free not just hands free.

It is worth saying that if you want to use this service, your own number is
initially withheld unless you go into the Google Home app and put your mobile
number in so that the other person sees it.  I've done this and calling someone
works a treat.  I think that while there will be people who feel it is
gimmicky, there is a real purpose for those perhaps living alone who could have
a fall and require help from a relative.  The beauty of this over Alexa is that
you don't have to call other Google Home owners, you can ring anyone.

Kind regards,

Jackie Brown

One thing I can't find on that article is how to answer a call using Google
Home.  How is it done, please?

Not possible yet, I'm afraid. From the FAQ:

"Can I call other Google Homes?
No, this is currently not possible as we do not support incoming calls but you
can call the phones of friends, families and businesses."

Sorry!
