Hi Vivien,

I'd forgotten about Goocle Chrome and downloaded the full
version of Ccleaner.

But as soon as Google tried to take over as my Home page I
deleted it from the programmes list in Control Panel and
have had no trouble since.

Thank you, Doris. I tried installing the standard version a
few days ago, 
with the intention of simply unchecking the option for the
Google Chrome 
browser, only to find that I couldn't access it with the
screenreader, so I 
promptly canceled the installation.
