Hi Jim,Yes, that's a good point too, though sometimes, when I've deleted some software (using the Add/Remove function in the Control Panel), I have discovered some folders associated with it later on, and I don't like these companies like Piriform just bundling such software with the product I'm wanting to install. Any way, I'm glad you managed to get rid of Google Chrome.

Hi Vivien, I'd forgotten about Goocle Chrome and downloaded the full version of Ccleaner. But as soon as Google tried to take over as my Home page I deleted it from the programmes list in Control Panel and have had no trouble since. I tried installing the standard version a few days ago, with the intention of simply unchecking the option for the Google Chrome browser, only to find that I couldn't access it with the screenreader, so I promptly canceled the installation. Someone stated at the time that the slim build wasno longeravailable. AS with the previous build, it is but it is justnot postedimmediately anymore when the new version is released. I just went to the c-clener homepage and found the slimversion ofc-cleaner build 3.04 available for download. For anyone intersted, here is the direct download link:http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/download/slim/downloadfileThis should always get you the latest available slim buildversion. Thus Iwould recommend turningoff automatic updates in c-cleanerand manuallydownloading the update when it becomes available. hth Dorishttp://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/download/slim/downloadfile** To leave the list, click on the immediately-followinglink:-**[mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe]** If this link doesn't work then send a message to: ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ** and in the Subject line type ** unsubscribe ** For other list commands such as vacation mode, click onthe** immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=faq] ** or send a message, to ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- faq** To leave the list, click on the immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe] ** If this link doesn't work then send a message to: ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ** and in the Subject line type ** unsubscribe ** For other list commands such as vacation mode, click on the ** immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=faq] ** or send a message, to ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- faq ** To leave the list, click on the immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe] ** If this link doesn't work then send a message to: ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ** and in the Subject line type ** unsubscribe ** For other list commands such as vacation mode, click on the ** immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=faq] ** or send a message, to ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- faq
