It depends on how many contacts you have, but you could send them to the 6630
via Bluetooth, which wouldn't incur any costs to you. This method of Bluetooth
at least should work for you, though the 6600's Bluetooth implementation is
rather flakey.

I do use Outlook, and have started syncronising it with my new phone. I
don't have a Bluetooth adaptor for my computer because the one I bought just
didn't work with my Nokia 6600. I managed to pair the phone and computer up,
but it would never stay connected for long enough to do anything. The staff in
the shop where I bought it didn't understand why this was happening, so I
exchanged the adaptor for another one, but with no more success. I took it
back and got a refund. A friend of mine said she'd also had a lot of problems
with Bluetooth - had bought several adaptors which either worked once and never
again or never at all, then she bought one and it worked - but doesn't know
what was different.
Connecting the 6630 to the computer is so easy!! I just have a problem with
the backup date from my own phone. I've noticed that the backup on the memory
card is saved as an .arc file. In the Nokia PC Suite help, under Nokia
Content cCopier, it says that backup files are saved as .nfb files - so I
suspect this is the problem.
I'm coming to the conclusion that I'll just have to go through all the phone
numbers on my Braille Lite (where I copied them from in the first place) and
re-enter them all. I did wonder about going through my old phone and sending
each contact to my new one as a business card, but I'm told that wouldn't
really be very practical if there are a lot of them.

Do you use Outlook? If so, synchronise your old phone to Outlook, then
re-sync Outlook to the new phone. I use Outlook to keep all my contacts, and
just synchronise. You can't do this with Outlook Express as far as I know, it
would have to be Outlook proper. The new phones are much easier to set up with
Bluetooth, than the 6600.

Hi All
Until a month ago I had a Nokia 6600 phone. I had entered in contact
information for lots of people and backed everything up to the memory card.
I've since had to replace the Nokia 6600 and now have a 6630. This phone
has a different memory card to the 6600. I was wondering how I could get the
information from my old phone to my new one, so copied the contents of the old
memory card on to my laptop and then back on to the new memory card. The
backup file was definitely there.
However, having put the new memory card in my 6630, it doesn't appear to
read the backup file that is on it. The option to "Restore from card" didn't
show until I'd backed up data from the 6630 on to the memory card. I did a
backup of the 6630 (I've entered in lots more contact information and diary
entries) and then restored it, to see if it would merge the two lots of data on
the card, but of course it didn't.
Does anyone know if there's a way of retrieving the data from my old memory
card? I was never able to link my 6600 up to my computer because I didn't have
a data cable and was told by Nokia that there wasn't one for that phone. My
attempts at linking up my phone and computer via Bluetooth failed dismally.
Any thoughts gratefully received.
