Thanks for the suggestion, Sandra.  I did try it briefly about a year ago, but 
if I 
remember correctly I could not find a satisfactory Help system or 
documentation, and 
as a result I was not sure that I really knew what I was doing.  But after 
reading your 
message I might give it another try.

It seems unfortunate that when the BBC were redesigning their player to improve 
accessibility, it could not have been tested in beta with the major screen 
readers.
