I don't see that particular tab under options.

The solution to stopping Firefox from auto-competing appears to be under advanced and unchecking the box which says "search for text when I start typing"

This is the final Advanced tab in the options dialogue.

I also have an autocomplete problem only in my case it is with Firefox 3.
