hi Andy and sunil

Personally I have found using JAWS 8 that the samples don't seem to play at
all using the "play sample" facility which appears in lists of search
results, the link is not announced as a link by JAWS and it doesn't actually
seem to activate properly. This happens even Though I can confirm that I
have Flash Player installed. They have tried to introduce a non-Flash
version. This can be accessed by clicking on the book title in a list of
search results or by following a link to the "details" page for a particular
book, and then activating the link on that page entitled "No Flash Player?".
This will directly download an mp3 of the sample.

HTH

I know that sometimes when visiting websites, JAWS announces something like
"flash started" and "flash end." Does this mean it's installed I wonder?

I had thought that flash could be a problem with JFW, is this not the
case?

| I've got a feeling that it's something that you have to install which is
not
| bundled with IE or Windows. If that's true and you don't remember
| installing int, the chances are that you've not got it on your system.
It
| might be an idea to google for the latest version and start the install
| process. Presumably if you've got it, a screen will pop up and let you
| know. That's the best I can think of.
