Hi Kate,

I'm currently under going the ATW process at a new job , and if it's any
help to you I'd recommend that you don't bother with your local job centre
at all. Take a look on the DWP's web site under the access to work section.
Here you will find the contact details for your regional Job Centre Plus ATW
disability service. The average time seems to be up to 10 weeks for the
assessment approval and equipment to be in place, but it's a case of whoever
shouts the loudest gets the expediance of the service.

I got an assessment within 1 week of starting my job, the report took
another week, and the approval of funding has arrived today three weeks
later. The delay will now come withe the need for the script writing.

If I can help you in any other way, contact me off list

Colin F
