Hi,
I've never used windows, but honestly, I find voiceover just as efficiant, as say, a braillenote. Once you get the hang of it, you won't be slower, at all. I can't speak about Mac and Windows.

Good afternoon Apple converts and experts,

I'm seeking opinions and answers please.

Using VO, do you find that you can carry out tasks as quickly and efficiently as you used to do using one of the main Windows' screen readers? This is what really worries me if I'm to commit to a switch and not the learning curve.
There's no question that there is a lot to learn but I found VO to be more efficient, intuitive and ultimately easier than I ever found JFW. I cannot speak about other Windows screen readers as I have no experience of them.

What do you miss most, if any, about using a Windows system?
I do not miss anything about the widows environment using a screen reader.
How can you configure VO to automatically switch languages as it does on iOs devices? I was testing VO on my son's MacBook Pro and for some reason VO wasn't automatically switching languages on webpages. Or have I got this wrong and VO on the Mac can't do this?
This is not an area in which I have either experience or an answer.
It'll be great if we can have an informative discussion about these points to help us Applephobics to get over our fears *smile* . Links to articles and websites about these points are welcomed too.
