Thanks a lot for this, Carol. I believe that this doesn't upload the key back to FS servers but only removes it from your machine locally. I should probably check with S&S if what I believe is true though. I'll let the list know if I get an answer from them hopefully during the week.

I've never done that and was given the following instruction to remove a key:

Go to start menu, all programs, Jaws (whatever version you're running) then
press "enter".
Cursor to tools submenu, and in this menu you will find "remove product
activation".
Choosing "Yes" will remove the key and JFW will be in demo mode.

Whichever you decide to do, Amro, I trust it's all OK.

From memory you used to be able to do this simply by deleting the settings
files in the Jaws settings folder. the folder  is under Users your name roaming
Freedom Scientific and Jaws and then Settings.
Jaws will then recreate default settings files when you restart Jaws. However
as I have not done this for some years it might be worht checking this is still
the procedure by doing a bit of research on google.

Hi all, if I uninstall JAWS with all shared settings and then reinstall it,
would I lose my authorisation key? I'd like to reinstall JAWS to reset it to
factory settings including getting red of all scripts and such. Is there a
better way of doing this rather than uninstalling it?
