Hi Alison,
you can listen to any song you can possibly think of. This is the difference between buying tracks. I myself use Youtube Music, which has a similar approach. Because I listen to many different genres, I love that I can do that at any time, as well as listening to any new releases.

Thanks, Kevin, that is what I thought it meant but it is good to have it confirmed.

That is correct.  You can stream tracks and you can download for offline listening but as soon as your trial is over or you cancel your subscription, any downloaded music will be removed from your music library and your device.

With Apple Music, you can download tracks as well as stream. However, I suspect that unless you actually start paying for the service, any tracks you download will either disappear or will not play.

I have always preferred to buy my music on a CD, although I have from time to time downloaded a particular track I like if I don’t want the whole album.

I recently purchased new iPods which offers me 6 months free access to Apple Music. I know this is going to sound pretty pathetic to some, but if I listen to a track via Apple Music, does it download it or just give me access to that track, so when my 6 months trial is over, I will no longer have access to it. Is that how it works? It just allows me to listen to the track, but not download it?
