Hi Catherine,

I'm sorry if someone has already replied to you on this and I've missed it.

I registered with EMusic and I'm afraid I wasn't able to get it to do
anything sensible. Like you, when I clicked on an album, I couldn't see a
way to download it. I did see a tip that suggested you should hover the
mouse to select individual tracks, but nothing I tried from the keyboard
appeared to have the same effect so I gave up.

If it was the pricing model that attracted you to EMusic then this won't
help, but Amazon does unprotected mp3's and the buying/downloading process
is accessible. There is no monthly subscription but the list price is
higher.

It's a pity, EMusic looked like a good concept and it sounded as though they
offered interesting additional content as well.

Subject: [access-uk] Anyone use EMusic?

Hi,

Does anyone here use the EMusic music download service? I am trying
it out and haven't got very far so far. I downloaded the EMusic
Download Manager and go into the set up wizard but JAWS doesn't read
it well and I can't tell what I'm choosing when I suppose there are
check boxes. And on the website itself I can't find any links to
"download". I get the impression from the site's help that you can
download without the Download Manager but I just can't find how to do
this. I think the Download Manager may be usable if I can just get it
set up initially.

I'm using JAWS 10. If anybody uses EMusic have you got any info?

Catherine
