Hi Steve,

Whilst I agree with your recent comments on the (Children of Beslan) topic, allow me to disagree with you over this matter <Smile>. I don't think it's an issue of special UK version as such. Personally the reasons I left the Talks list about three months ago were that many of the post was questions to do with US mobile carriers, US mobile models and problems with the Talks dealers in the states. As well, a really significant number of the messages were about issues which had nothing to do with Talks itself. Yes Talks and mobile matters are somewhat interlinked, but I don't know if you can justify questions like which sounds nicer an MP3 or a polyphonic ring tone, particularly on a high traffic list like Talks was. But what I found most annoyingly was the big number of childish emails of people having go at each other I used to see on there. I really did enjoy the Talks list when I first joined it in its early days but I think it's not as it used to be unfortunately. Hope you give it another thought and we see you kicking around on the new Talks list fellow! It's kinda nice to have our Talks dealer with us there!

Cheers,

AmroB

Hi Graham,

Not wishing to be disrespectful, but what is the point? We have a
flourishing Talks list already, why do folks always seem to want a special
UK version? As far as I know, there are no UK specific issues with Talks,
that couldn't be discussed on the main Talks list, are there? I'm afraid I
won't be monitoring this one, as I am on too many lists already <Smile>.

All the best

Hi all

I've set up a UK mailing list to discuss all things related to the talks
screen reader. To subscribe send a blank message with the word subscribe in
the subject line to talks-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx and then to post drop the
word request from the address. Look forward to seeing some of you on the
list. Cheers!
