If I remember, I just set the free month trial up directly from the Amazon
Echo unit itself.
I then received an email telling me that after the month was up that if I
didn't cancel, then they would start taking £3 99 per month from my account
which was already set up with Amazon.
So you know right away how much they are charging you, and if by any chance
it has the wrong amount, then you can go into the Alexa website and select
the correct payment plan.

You do not have to be a prime member to get the £3 99 offer.
The only restriction is that you can only hear the Amazon Music on that
one
Echo Dot.

I have just bought an Amazon Echo Dot and am looking at the subscriptions

Amazon Music Unlimited, as it seems ideal for using in my home gym.
The full subscription is £7.99 per month for Prime members and £9.99 for
non-prime members. The price for an Echo Dot only subscription is £3.99,

it is unclear if you need to be a Prime member or not for this.
If anyone has the Echo Dot only subscription, could you confirm if you
need
to be a Prime member first, please? As I am not, it would make the music
subscription far higher by having to pay Prime subscription as well.
