Assuming you are using the right alt key, Try the other alt key with F4.
Means a bit of a criss cross though.

Subject: [access-uk] Alt+F4

Hi all,

I have just encountered an odd problem.

I am using Windows XP Home with a wireless keyboard, and Jaws 8 (although I
have established the problem isn't Jaws-related.

The problem concerns using Alt+F4 to close a program.

All worked well until yesterday. And then, for no apparent reason, this
keystroke stopped working.

The Alt key is working fine, as it will bring up a menu, and so is the F4
key. When I press the two, Jaws says Alt+F4, but the program doesn't close,
or I am not prompted to close a program when changes have been made.

The combination Insert+F4 works fine, when I am prompted to close Jaws.

Does anyone have an idea what has happened, and possibly have a fix?

Thanks.

Keith
