Hi Ian,

I think the Alexa skill could bring that to fruition, particularly given
that the Echo Dot is so cheap, and the E2 speaker that we sell is only
£65.00, which also supports Alexa.

All the best

Steve

Hi Jonathan
I was only thinking that some Talking Newspapers like to organise social
type events, for example. Knowing the number of memory sticks or whatever
are sent out gfves them a clue as to how large the readership is. Of course
I could be completely wrong on this. I know that in my case, any memory
stick I receive is immediately zipped for use with VoiceDream. I know I am
probably in a minority in this respect, but I sometimes think that it is a
pity the memory stick has to be sent out in the first place. Perhaps the
time will come when the memory stick for a Talking Newspaper becomes a thing
of the past.

Hi Ian,

I don't think that would be Jonathan's fault, it would happen once
they update it online.  If they don't update it online, the skill
won't know about it.

Subject: [access-uk] Alexa Talking Newspaper Skill

Hello
I have being playing around with the chlexa Talking Newspaper skill.
The skill itself seems to do what it says it should. However, what is
available does not seem to be updated. Despite the fact that I have
had in my possession for over a week now the latest edition of my
local talking newspaper, the skill has not updated. This concerns me
as I have made a point of telling people who might be interested about
the skill and I am sure they would be rather disappointed to find that
the news they are hearing is old news. I am wondering if this is a
problem specific to the Chichester Area Talking News or is it general.
