I have one of those as well. You can adjust the volume too which can be
useful.
I also have an RNIB Radio controlled talking clock/temperature sensor
(Ref CC58) which is very stylish. Not sure what the display is like and
it's not mains operated.

Although this isn't what you are asking for thought I would tell you
about the Comuni clock from R N I B .
It doesn't have any visual display but is very stylish , radio
controlled with a good male voice.
We bought 3 last year and not been disappointed .

Hi Everyone.

I hope you had a pleasant holiday? I'm on the look out for another
gadget, this time a talking clock. I am ideally looking for the
following features.

* LCD display with easy to see font, preferably good contrast that
doesn't look like an eyesore when someone sighted sees it.
* most if not all functions spoken.
* must be mains powered with battery backup.
* must have a decent voice.
* if radio controled to automatically syncronise the time, then that
would be great.
* if it looks stilish then all the better.

Cobolt used to do one with most of the above features, but its not
clear if they still do one with an LCD display with decent sized
font/contrast. I have found the following clock from RNIB. has anyone
used this clock? if so, what did you think of it and is there a
better option out there?
