I have just had a Hotpoint washer/dryer and in the past, they have been
good.
However, I find that the build quality is poor at best.
On the reliability front, I would also say that it is sadly lacking.
I have now gone for two separate machines to do the jobs. I would advise
this if it is a possibility in your home.
I am told that Hoover produce a machine that will meet your requirements
nicely, what with the tactile markings that you want.
So, to summerise, leave hotpoint well alone and go for Hoover.
