Hi Steve
The portable DVD I had at one time had a button which enabled you to switch
language tracks, so when you had a DVD playing, you could switch to the audio
described version of a film providing that was on the DVD. This is generally
how I watch DVDs, insert disk, wait for the things to load up, press enter a
few times to get through the menus and into the meat of the film, then press
whatever keyboard shortcut or button is required to switch to the audio
described language track. That is all there is to it for me. Any DVD player
weather connected to a TV or the portable kind is going to present the DVD in
the same way so if you are fortunate enough to have one of the few talking DVDs
that were released then you should have no problems navigating it but for the
rest of us….

content wouldn’t work on any portable that I know of.

If it is simply to connect to a PC or Laptop, it will simply appear like an
additional disk drive, but with removable media of course,
