Linda http://www.personal-computer-tutor.com/abc ______________________________________________________ Hi everybody. This is a hard email for me to write because I am trying not to trigger anyone's filters so excuse all the ridiculous terminology, please. Recently it has been brought to my attention that my newsletter (abc ~all 'bout computers) is not reaching some people because it is being flagged as "the word that rhymes with ham" for some of the following reasons: It often refers to the word that rhymes with ham. It often includes the word that rhymes with "bee" and means I'm telling you about something that has no cost. It often includes the word that rhymes with "beep" and means I'm telling you about something that has almost no cost. It does include advertisements because that's the only way I can keep it "the word that rhymes with bee". Sometimes, so you won't miss something, I put it all in capital letters and this also triggers these filters. Sometimes, in my enthusiasm, I might put more than one exclamation point at the end of a sentence and this also triggers these filters. Sometimes I might use some slang that also triggers these filters. Because this newsletter is "the word that rhymes with bee", I use a service to send it that includes the word that rhymes with bee in it's name, so the actual email address itself can set off these filters. (However, in that case, you won't even receive this one, which I'm trying very hard to get through your filters.) So, if you in fact would like to receive the upcoming issues of my newsletter and can't understand why you haven't received them in the past, I can tell you that it's probably because of some filter your Internet Service Provider is using or you have installed yourself. To assure that you get future issues, please add this email to your "friends" list or your "white" list (it will depend on which filtering program you use). If you do not know how to do this, contact your Internet Service Provider and ask them to do it for you. If your Internet Service Provider does not let you control what mail you can or cannot receive, I strongly suggest you find one that does. Thanks. And I apologize for this extra email. Believe me when I tell you I completely understand your need to avoid the word that rhymes with ham and my newsletter is not that.
