Dear AAHB colleagues,

I’m reaching out to you today to ask if you could let your trainees and
colleagues know that Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) Department of
Nutrition is currently recruiting for three new faculty positions (2 tenure
track and 1 non-tenure track) in the area of community and applied
nutrition.

These new positions reflect a departmental expansion focused predominantly
on maternal and child nutrition, using different approaches, including
community-based interventions, policy studies, implementation science and
culinary medicine. In particular, we are interested in individuals with
research interests and expertise in food insecurity and health outcomes,
food and nutrition policy, and nutritional and anthropometric assessment.
Individuals with a focus on health disparities and/or interventions for
underserved populations in Greater Cleveland are strongly encouraged to
apply.

As you know, Cleveland faces many challenges with regard to social and
economic inequities and alarming health disparities. However, it is also a
connected and collaborative community that offers a rich and supportive
environment for community-based research.  Moreover, the university is the
home of a number of community-focused research centers across campus, in
which candidates will be encouraged to collaborate with. These centers have
well-established partnerships with community organizations across the city,
region and state, including but not limited to, pre-schools and secondary
education schools, neighborhood clinics, emergency food programs, workplace
wellness, churches, and neighborhood leadership groups.  Links to these
centers are provided in the attached job ads.

And if you haven't heard, Cleveland is a beautiful, affordable, and
progressive city to live in!

I greatly appreciate your passing this information along to your students
and colleagues.

Thanks so much - look forward to seeing you all in Florida in March!

Elaine Borawski
