The Health Education and Promotion program, housed in the College of
Education and Human Sciences at Oklahoma State University, is seeking
qualified applicants for the position of Associate Professor/Professor and
Joan Donelson Jacques Endowed Professor of Health Promotion. The successful
applicant will join a collaborative team of faculty who work with and
mentor our cadre of undergraduate students and graduate students (MS and
PhD). This position reports to the Head of the School of Community Health
Sciences, Counseling and Counseling Psychology.

The program is seeking a forward-thinking leader who will build on the
breadth and strength of its undergraduate and graduate programs and
educational model while inspiring collaborative relationships both within
and outside the university. The candidate must demonstrate a deep commitment
to and experience in diversity, research, developing and maintaining a
strong curriculum, obtaining external funding, inter-professional and
collaborative education, and progressive approaches to public health
education and practice. The program is currently in the self-study phase of
accreditation as a Standalone Baccalaureate Program with the Council on
Education for Public Health (CePH). The candidate should have familiarity
with national accreditation through CePH.

The position is located on the picturesque main campus in Stillwater,
Oklahoma and provides the advantage of living in a large town of just under
50,000. Stillwater has a recent ranking as one of America's safest cities
and provides a combination of large city amenities and the charm of a
smaller community, including affordable housing, and excellent schools.

*QUALIFICATIONS: *Individuals seeking this position must possess the
following: (1) a doctorate in public health, health education, health
promotion, or related field; (2) experience that would meet the requirements
for appointment at rank of Associate Professor or Professor; (3) record of
extramural

funding and community partnerships; and (4) commitment to diversity and
social justice. In addition, the candidate must show evidence of
leadership, service, teaching, scholarship, and research, as well as
program accreditation
and program assessment experience.
