Not going back to a flat screen, so am taking a rest from the flight sim for a
while. Cable lasted 15 months of abuse by me almost every day of the week for
4 or 5 hours. I am afraid I have been treading on the cable when going around
the side of my PC table and also tightly crimping the cable with tie-wraps. I
shall take a lot more care of the next cable I get. I just hope it is the
cable that is the problem and I can achieve a simple fix by replacing it.Could
be a quality issue with Pimax cables, but a scan of the internet shows that
other manufacturers are also having to provide replacement cables.
Happy landings,
Talisman

You know you can force DCS to run in non-vr mode with this command?:-
"C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\bin\DCS.exe"
--force_disable_VR
hit Win + R and paste it in.
Np need to disable VR.

Gents,
Sorry that I have not been able to fly with you much lately due to problems
with my VR. I have been getting more frequent vision black-outs and constant
coloured sparkles, so much so that I have to take to my parachute far too often
or make holes in the ground, LOL.
I am of the opinion that the VR cable has come to the end of its life and
have now ordered a new one from Pimax. I had mistakenly thought that I would
not be able to replace the cable, but it turns out that I can (should have gone
to Specsavers, lol).
I forked out some extra dosh to expedite delivery, but I don't have a deliver
date yet.
Hope to be back in the air again with you soon.
Happy landings,
