/I don't know if it still exists but there did used to be a virtual airline that ran full international services 24/7 so each member of that  would have had to do the same long flights./
That kind of thing existed on several a full blown Air Traffic Controlled servers. You could be in an Airline, had to be prepared to follow instructions including waiting clearance to taxi etc.. - or be ejected from the server.

/I believe there are more play as train and truck drivers than fly flight sims of all makes. One of those cockeyed "fact" you see without being able to see it proved yeah or ney. But it would not surprise me. /
I had a guy working for me (going back 10-12 years now) who knew I flew in flight sims and took great joy in trying to explain to this 'kindred spirit' (!) the finer points of his train driving simulator, the different trains, timetables etc.. I mean, come on, its only a ........ simulator........ weeell, alright then. My daughter and her friends are heavily into world-building. One has just finished building a farm and is currently buying livestock. I can almost smell the paint drying.

Yes, they're not all locked away. I used to work with a guy who would
take off in his MS Flight Sim Boeing/Airbus, get up to the appropriate
corridor, set autopilot and come to work. 10 hours later he was home in
time to land somewhere in the USA. Seems to me he could have saved the
electricity and run two missions, one at each end in the morning and
evening. btw I'm going back over 10 years and he was watercooling his
Intel cpu and running something like 5GHz even back then.
