Years ago I spent six months trying to track down a memory overwrite in my code. Only when I went to an IBM conference in Barcelona and heard a talk on some of the more obscure compiler switches did I realise I was getting the overwrite from a different processor because the heap was too small. The best value conference fee and expenses ever spent.
In fact, I would say I have /never/ given up on a bug.

Ah, I'm sure you're right.
I've just been diffing the files. The one that seems to change is the "*.list", and it looks like it fingerprints its list of files. Maybe it doesn't show if the fingerprint doesn't match?
How about trying to delete the .list and .msnbin files, reopen the .mission, then save as?

.mission file.
For some reason yours have the string set to "".
So I suspect coop missions have to have at least one 'plane set to "player".
