Hi, i couldn't access the files on my desktop and i remembered someone on the
list talking about how you can't read from ntfs to fat (i think). My laptop is
ntfs and my desktop is fat. does that mean that if i try to access the files
on my desktop through file and printer sharing i won't be able to? should i
format to ntfs on my desktop? is there a way to do this without losing all my
data on my desktop hard drive? thanks.

my operating systems are winxp pro for desktop (fat) and winxp home for laptop
(ntfs)
