Another vagrant has shown up on the Island! Melody Walsh called me today
to say she had spotted a Scissor-tailed Flycatcher on a wire along Detroit
Harbor Road near the corner of Airport Rd. While looking at the bird our
local police came by. He said he was responding to an accident report of
several cars in the ditch on Detroit Harbor Rd. - Us. He lives in the same
area and says he has seen the bird around for the last several weeks, as
well as the Caracara. The Snowy Owl is also still here. What a weird
birding summer.
