Just got back from the Marsh!  Shorebirds are fairly numerous in the
second lagoon of the Figure 8 dike system.  Enter from Frog Alley Rd.  Not a
lot of variety however.  Best sighting was four Buff-breasted Sandpipers and a
Merlin. Others were yellowlegs, solitary and least SP. GB Herons and Killdeer
everywhere.  Killdeer are beautiful birds but after the first 100, they lose
their "magic".  Greenwing Dike (to the south of the parking lot) also had
shorebirds, herons, kingfishers and a few egrets.

The wild grapes and chokecherries are attracting passerines.  Look in the
trees lining the west side of the parking lot and along the wooded path to the
north out to the open marsh.
