Sitting at Collins Marsh Nature Center this afternoon with window open
working on ZOOM thing when I hear what my brain IDs as Red Belly
Woodpecker. Then I hear it again and am distracted from the zoom - and I
think 'it could be a crane', then spouse hears it and says CRANE! We could
not find from nature center, so we walked behind and no, not there and I
wonder where in approx 1000 acres I can find a big bird. We drove to
highway W bridge over Manty river and there are 7 cranes in a group in the
field. Pull over. As we watch, in come 8 more. Cranes are back to
Collins. Have 1 lousy cell phone image and trying to figure out how to
attach it to my eBird submitted list.
