Looks like we might need to change the Lake Park Duck Watch on
Saturday into a Gull Watch.

---
Lake Park Duck Watches: Saturdays 11AM - 1PM
Winter 2012: Jan 21, Feb 11, Mar 3
Gather EAST of Lincoln Memorial Dr, north of Bradford Beach.
In the second hour, carpools will convoy to nearby birding hotspots.

In just two stops I managed to find all seven expected winter gulls
today!
From the ferry dock north of the South Shore Yacht Club I found a
juvenile
Glaucous Gull and two adult Great Black-backed Gulls, all sitting on the
breakwater. At McKinley Marina there were two Thayer's Gulls, a Lesser
Black-backed Gull, and an Iceland (Kumlien's) Gull (all adult
birds). Of
course, both spots had scads of Herring and Ring-Billed Gulls as well.
