Had to go looking at geese ,after the mention of G W-f geese. I didn't have the time to do a good count, but Lower Mud Lake in McFarland is very good right now. The water is 1/3 or more open. As Peter mentioned there are around 250 Tundra Swans near the south end. I couldn't tell if there were any trumpeters. Where did all these swans come from? 5 Mutes were on the north side. I did find 2 White-fronted geese and 2 Cackling geese. Kind of hard to spot , with all the Canada's. Had 4 pintails and a good mix of winter ducks. I'm sure I'll find time tomarrow to look again. It would be a good ebird report. Steve Thiessen Stoughton Dane co. #################### You received this email because you are subscribed to the Wisconsin Birding Network (Wisbirdn).
