Saw and heard first sandhills of the year this morning. Last year was March 1 for me so a little earlier. Also pair of com. goldeneye on L. Sinissippi. Another foy was lapland longspurs in a mixed flock with horned larks. They sure are hard to spot with no snow. Saw one fly off shoulder of road into plowed field and then saw flock, otherwise would have never noticed them. Had an imm. bald eagle soaring high over L. Sin. and a great horned owl at home.
