Andy - How can we find out specific locations for fires? Any place online with detailed maps of recent fires? This is definitely a great way to find Black-backed and 3 Toed Woodpeckers. Last fall and the fall before Jeff and I went up on the Gunflint Trail and in the Boundary Waters of N. Minnesota seeking out burned over areas. And we found quite a few of these northern woodpeckers in the recent burns. Nancy Richmond Polar - Langlade Co.
